Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher, PGA of America Class A Instructor, and “Mentored by the King” author, Brad Brewer, established a place for himself in Player Development when he co-founded the Arnold Palmer Golf Academies in 1984. In 2000, Brad was involved in the startup of a golf technology company focused on distance learning through the Internet. Brad began consulting Saddlebrook Prep’s aspiring juniors from across the globe in 2002. In 2004 Brad was honored to open the doors to the Brad Brewer Golf Academy at Rosen Shingle Creek Luxury Hotel and Golf Club, Orlando. Flagler College in St. Augustine inducted him into their Sport Hall of Fame in 2010. During that same year, Brad developed the High Performance Instruction for Club Med Academies Golf with the first location opening in 2011 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Brad is also an author, speaker and artist. The Brad Brewer Golf Academy is a Golf Magazine Top 25 Golf School.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Chris was introduced to golf at the age of five by his father. After many years of playing in junior events, Chris decided to put his skills and passion for golf to the test and started taking lessons from the Leadbetter Golf Academy here in Orlando. It was during this time that he realized instruction was his calling.
“I have so much respect for the intricacies that make up the golf swing and when combined with the pleasure and satisfaction students experience during their lessons – I knew this is what I wanted to do!” shares Chris.
After studying marketing at Lewis University in Illinois, Chris spent the next five years training and learning from David Leadbetter and his master instructors assisting with players of all skill levels ranging from beginners to touring professionals.
Along with his knowledge of the golf swing Chris has extensive knowledge about club fitting and golf club repair. In May of 2014 Chris accepted a position at Rosen Shingle Creek Golf Club and become a Brad Brewer Golf Academy Certified Instructor.
When he isn’t working on his golf game, Chris enjoys attending concerts and festivals with his wife, Jess, and teaching his dog who was a rescue, to fetch chip shots in the back yard.

Robby Knop, Guest Instructor
Robby started playing our wonderful game in 2006 when he moved from his hometown, St. Louis, Missouri. He quickly fell in love with the game, and, after meeting a student of The Golf Academy of America, Robby decided to join the program and start his journey.
“I met my friend Andy in 2007 and we began playing golf together. He had been playing for 15 years at that point, and had just joined the academy. After seeing a drastic improvement in his overall game, I knew The Golf Academy of America was for me.”
During school, Robby worked as an instructor for Total Golf Adventures (T.G.A.). While with the company, he taught golf fundamentals at schools in the Dr. Phillips/Windermere area. He then accepted a job at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge here in Orlando, where he worked his way from the range to the shop in his first year.
Robby accepted His first Assistant Golf Professional job here at Shingle Creek Golf Club in November of 2011. He has a passion for golf and instruction, and is driven to make you a better golfer.
Robby lives here in Orlando with his wife Tristan, and a new daddy. He is an adamant St. Louis Cardinals fan and loves to read about the history of golf.
Elvira Barcala , Guest Instructor
Elvira Barcala is from Venezuela. She has been a professional player and a instructor since her graduation in 2002 from Golf Academy of America, in Orlando, Florida
She has been a teaching professional at Power Golf School in Marbella, Spain and also in Maracay Country Club, Venezuela, teaching juniors and adults, beginners through tournament level players.
A competitor on the PGA Venezuelan Tour, Elvira was also a member of the Duramed Futures Tour and Sun Coast Series Tour.
